    About

Built by the Got Mortgages team.

The Got Mortgages Cares Foundation is the community arm of everything Abdel and the Got Mortgages team have built. This is why we do it.

    Why I do it

A platform is only worth what you do with it.

I started Got Mortgages because I believed people deserved a smarter, more human way to navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. Years in, I kept seeing the same thing across every kitchen table: smart, hard-working people who were never taught the basics of money, credit, or homeownership.

That's the gap I built the Foundation to close. Not with a one-time donation. Not with a press release. With real, ongoing service - workshops, events, sponsorships, and partnerships that show up where the community already is.

Got Mortgages is the platform. Got Mortgages University is the classroom. Got License opens the door for new careers. Got Mortgages Partners supports the agents and referral partners growing alongside us. The Podcast is where we share what we learn. And the Foundation is how we give it all back.

"If you're going to build something, build it so the community wins too."

    In Loving Memory

    In Memory of Jamal Khawatmi

The Got Mortgages Cares Foundation was founded in loving memory of Jamal Khawatmi, father of Abdel Khawatmi. He believed education opens doors no one can close, and that family, generosity, and lifting others build a life of meaning.

This foundation carries his name forward, turning his legacy into lasting impact through education, opportunity, and service to the families and communities he taught us to honor.

    What we believe

Five principles that guide every decision.

    01

    Service over self-promotion

If we're not actually serving the community, the rest is noise.

    02

    Action over rhetoric

Showing up means time, money, and consistent presence.

    03

    Partnership over ego

We amplify the schools and nonprofits already doing the work.

    04

    Practical over polished

Workshops are taught in plain language for real life.

    05

    Education as opportunity

Knowledge is the lever - careers, ownership, and confidence follow.

    A community partnership in action

    Be part of the work.

Donate, partner, or volunteer - there's room for every kind of contribution.
